Reem Acra's collection is always a show stopper. This season was a stunner. Everything about it was amazing. You can see for yourself:

The other day I was asked to shoot a young artist for a new headshot. He is a painter, you can check out some of his work on his Instagram page
Fashion week was a blast this season! It's the last time it will be held at Lincoln Center, which is a little bit sad, but none the less we had a great time! I got a chance to work with my friend and fellow photographer David Berman from Social Network again. It's always a pleasure to work with him, we make a great team!
We also shot for Ms Castro Rides again as well as Made Now Magazine. You can see some of our work on their website as well as their instagram.
Here are a few photos from the week. (more on the way soon!)

I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph some awesome (and adorable) kids at their first holy communion. It was at St. John Nepomucene in Manhattan. It is only a few blocks away from where I live so it was also very convenient. It was a beautiful day outside & the kids did wonderfully! They really looked like they were having fun! They were all dressed up in their dresses and suits! It was a really fun day! Congratulations to all of them!
I recently photographed this awesome event for Fritz Hansen at their showroom in Soho. I was able to capture a ton of great photos of their pieces as well as people enjoying themselves at the event. Jaime Hayon, one of the designers was so nice, I even had a chance to talk to him!

Had a wonderful shoot with Claire. We walked around the high-line; it was a hot, but beautiful day! Claire is the president of Beatrix NY, which is a children's accessory company & is a breast cancer survivor! Take a look at her website: http://www.beatrixny.com. We had such a great shoot!
A few days ago I taught my first solo class. (You can sign up on skillshare!) It was a lot of fun and there were a number of students who came. I hope they enjoyed the class as much as I did teaching it. I went over topics like: Having your photo studio at home, Studio lighting in small spaces, and even had some extra time to discuss a bit about the business of photography.
Oh, did I forget to mention we had the beautiful model, Alicia Henry, helping us out with the lighting demos. Here are a few shots of Alicia from class. Can you guess the lighting?
I always get asked about teaching a class, so I finally decided to do it. Here's the link: http://skl.sh/Sbio7s Its called Studio Photography From your Home. I will cover things like studio lighting in small spaces, lighting setups, as well as some information about the business end of photography. It's going to be a lot of fun!
I really hope to see you there!
Here's a post from New York Magazine with one of my photos on it! This was shot at beautiful restaurant, Barolo. They are located in Soho and very delicious!

Theodora (Teddi) is an opera singer who needed some promotional photos of herself done---or rather, updated promotional photos, since her last set were done more years ago than we can count. She contacted us through Jane Gillman (who we know from a commercial project we did for J'tote), and we had some tentative plans for a shoot, but scheduling issues came up which prevented it from going through the first time around. But happily, she contacted us again not so long ago and we made it happen! Teddi has had a long and distinguished career in opera, so our challenge was to take a portrait of her that both reflects her seriousness and dedication as an artist, without losing any of the warmth she has as a person and as a performer. This was one of our favorites:
