I was excited when Christian Ramirez, a TV host at Telemundo, asked me to shoot J Mendel's show. I liked the flowy and geometric style that was on display at the show; very inspirational! I was able to get some great backstage shots of some of the models practicing their walks, as well as of the actual show.
The other day I was asked to shoot a young artist for a new headshot. He is a painter, you can check out some of his work on his Instagram page
I went to The Knot's Couture bridal fashion week with Jenna Salvagin and it was a great opportunity to see some new styles by Maggie Sottero! It's a totally different experience from Mercedes-Benz fashion week. The dresses in the collection are completely affordable for most brides...you might have already seen someone you know getting married in one of these beautiful dresses! Here are some of my favorites.
I just received this beautiful watercolor of one of my beautiful brides painted by Janet Schulz. I really wanted to share it with everyone. Take a look at Janet’s Website: http://www.janetschulzartists.com/ She really does some amazing work!!
I had a wonderful time shooting with Nigyar. She had a fun personality and was great to work with. We got so many amazing photos that I had a hard time choosing my favorites!
Had a wonderful shoot with Claire. We walked around the high-line; it was a hot, but beautiful day! Claire is the president of Beatrix NY, which is a children's accessory company & is a breast cancer survivor! Take a look at her website: http://www.beatrixny.com. We had such a great shoot!
I started working on a new project with Heather Bozzone from Glamoir. We are making a video of the amazing James Le from Major Models. We recently filmed it and are now in the editing process. Here are a few screen caps from the video. I hope you like it!
I got an opportunity to shoot Aaron Carter for the Film Noir issue of Uptempo Magazine. Here are the photos:
A few days ago I taught my first solo class. (You can sign up on skillshare!) It was a lot of fun and there were a number of students who came. I hope they enjoyed the class as much as I did teaching it. I went over topics like: Having your photo studio at home, Studio lighting in small spaces, and even had some extra time to discuss a bit about the business of photography.
Oh, did I forget to mention we had the beautiful model, Alicia Henry, helping us out with the lighting demos. Here are a few shots of Alicia from class. Can you guess the lighting?
I always get asked about teaching a class, so I finally decided to do it. Here's the link: http://skl.sh/Sbio7s Its called Studio Photography From your Home. I will cover things like studio lighting in small spaces, lighting setups, as well as some information about the business end of photography. It's going to be a lot of fun!
I really hope to see you there!
Here's a post from New York Magazine with one of my photos on it! This was shot at beautiful restaurant, Barolo. They are located in Soho and very delicious!
