I know I posted about Jasmine not too long ago, but previously I was working on a project with her and Kate. I was interested in doing some portraits of her and her owner, Kate agreed. Jasmine was very excited for it, especially when she realized this meant she got some extra treats.
So, I got Jasmine into my studio and here are the results!
The other day I took some photographs of my neighbor's dog Jasmine. She is a King Charles Cavalier and Cocker Spaniel mix. We had a lot of fun and took a bunch of photos. A few days later the temperature reached 90 degrees and Jasmine's owner, Kate, asked if I would dog sit because she knew I would be home and she was concerned with the heat. I had a fun day with Jasmine and took some more photos.
First things first, Kate brought over her food, water, leash, and some toys.
Then Jasmine made her self comfortable on the couch.
and she stayed on the couch.
After a while I tried to get her to play, so I tried to get her off the couch.
but, I think she really liked the couch.
Overall I had a great time with her. She kept me company as I did some editing and took photos of her. She's a great subject.
Coming soon: Pet Portraits of Jasmine.
The day after fashion week ended I was invited by my very good friend Nora Kobrenik to visit the Zang Toi showroom. Nora couldn't make the show during fashion week, but still wanted to see the newest collection. Of course I was super excited when she invited me!
The showroom was absolutely beautiful. All the decor was either black, white or mirrored, except for the clothing of course. It was super stylish! Zang Toi himself wasn't there, but we were shown around by Steven Ong. Steven was really nice and explained the whole collection to Nora. It was really cool to see the clothing from close up. I've only ever seen them on the runway. They looked so elegant, I was afraid to touch them, but they didn't mind if we did. He also had his sketches hanging on the wall, that was really interesting to see how each piece comes together.
I was backstage a lot during this season, while I was there I kept noticing they had a lot of manicurist, I was very intrigued. There were a ton of shades of polish and each show had a many different colors. All of nail polish that I saw was provided by Zoya. I was very excited because I have many zoya products already, but I wanted to learn more about them. Their nail polish is all vegan, which is wonderful! It goes on really smooth and when you take it off it is very easy and you don’t have to keep scrubbing, Don't you hate when your polish doesn't want to come off? With this, it comes off very quickly! (I love that!)
The people from Zoya were very nice, they told me about their new satin polish line, which I have yet to try, but I was lucky enough to be given a few samples to take home with me! I haven’t used the satin yet, but I did play around with the colors I got from the Zang Toi show. They were very pretty brown tones perfect for this snowy weather we are having now. (sorry I didn’t take a photo of my nails).
Herve Leger & Malan Breton also had Zoya doing the nails for their shows. The colors were beautiful! Unfortunately I didn’t get to keep those, but I got a few other colors to try out! I’m so excited for it to get warmer so I can play with all of the colors!

This past week I did some headshots for someone with the same name as me. She does pronounce it a little differently, but not very often do I find someone with the same spelling. Our plan was to go to central park, but it was one of those extremely cold days; So we decided to find a warmer place to shoot. We found a public building near by and got some great shots! I love the photos and think they came out great!
I went to Jones Beach this past weekend to photograph this wonderful couple; It was a beautiful evening and we had a lot of fun! I can't wait for their wedding!
If you want to know a little secret Angela also does my hair, she is amazing check out her work here: http://www.facebook.com/amd.hairandmakeup
One of my favorite shows at fashion week last month was Carolina Herrera. The Collection was stunning; so elegant and classy, including the music (I recorded a bit of it on my phone so I wouldn’t forget it) You can hear it here: http://youtu.be/RdbDBZ7lsjA. it is “A whimsical riff on Beethoven’s Kreutzer Sonata by Tom Hodge” I wish I could own every piece that came down that runway. After the show was over I was very lucky to go back stage and meet her. Here are some photos from the show:
